The on-ramp may be used not
only by back-pain or beer-belly sufferers like me but by children also. And I miss
no chance to expose horses to clumsy or noisy human behaviour, so
they'll stand still for just about anyone.
This is Olesya (top) and
Moonie (bottom). |

First cautious approach to
Moonie who, being a blond, enjoys an unfair
popularity.

Assisted ride on Romashka.

First independent ride about a couple of
hours after the child climbed the animal for the first time in her life. |
I
don't recall our horses ever trying to throw children off. Not even the
wild stallion Sur. They do
however miss no opportunity to demonstrate their attitude do those they
deem weaklings. |
This
neighbour's boy by some reason never had a problem with horses. Just
got on and off he went. Weird. Another phenomenon I regularly
observe is that getting rid of parents and instructors improves
child's horse-riding ability. You are welcomed to send yours to us on
their own.

Both Romashka and Sur are used to two
riders at a time. If you know what you are doing you will be able to
take your little ones for a ride with you. Horses are also trained to
travel in a caravan formation [photo] |
