Romashka's daughter
Moonie

.

An unplanned occurrence with Synok, a draft horse of sturdy but somewhat incoherent constitution, a resident of the nearby collective farm.

No bush will stop her. No stream is an obstacle. Roaring tractors are a source of amusement. In fact, in her younger days she would keep on kicking buckets, wheelbarrows, and other noisy things for entertainment. Strong hooves that can take stone, asphalt, or gravel. The ultimate trail horse.

Be aware, however, that she bites and once in a while would stop and give you a challenging look. A confident gaze from you will normally restore order. Show her a small twig. She knows when to stop.

I happen to be of an opinion that a good horse is by necessity spoiled, and a horse that is not spoiled lacks heart, thus I've never aimed at making my animals behave too well. Certain things, like kicking at humans, are TOTALLY disallowed. Other than that I give them a chance to be in control. Make a difference out there on the trail.

Photographed here doing one of her tricks. She will not actually bite. If you don't react, or react disapprovingly, Moonie will not go further. If you panic, in 5 minutes she'll be riding you, and at night she'll be in your bed and you in her corner of the barn.
