canoeing and rafting
down the volga River

Here is an excellent set of photos from the Trofimov family (eternal gratitude to him for setting me up with a GPRS connection) and their company who stayed with us in July 2003 and then canoed down to Tver.

The Trofimoff Family and Friends have arrived. Note the Pushkin memorial.
A trip to Staritsa can be especially recommended to Russian history fans.

An inflatable raft and a wooden boat can be borrowed from us if you want to repeat this adventure.

At our dacha.

Caves three miles downstream.

'Tis beyond me to comment on that one.
